[JAN 2010] Chase-A-Chaun Returns!

The annual award-winning lucrative marathon is back!

With the objective of tracking down a leprechaun and chasing it back to its elusive stash (usually a pot of gold), Chase-A-Chaun offers its participants the perfect opportunity to be both rich AND famous. The contestant who claims the gold gets to keep it, as well as the title 'GoldFingers' for an entire year (the title, not the gold).

Several new participants were absolutely thrilled, mostly with the prospect of seeing a real-live leprechaun (considered somewhat of an endangered species on Mars) for the first time, others mainly attracted to the pot of gold promised as the reward.

After being asked for the fourteenth time (or close to), Cookster reluctantly admitted to applying tractor grease onto his boots in order to improve on his fiendishly slow running speed. 'Well, I pay for them myself, don't I?' he snapped, 'Besides, theres no rule saying I can't use them, either.' before returning to his work.

Equally excited was veteran runner and leprechaun enthusiast, HellsCrusader. He revealed several of his tips to LoTCookie in his interview. 'Oh, the chase is gonna be a very challenging event, but atleast you have to stay focused on the task at hand - thats the main thing, and -'

'- :O Leprechaun!!'

Before he could be reminded that the competition had not yet begun, HellsCrusader had already taken off into the trees in hot pursuit.
